Last night I met a friend of mine at this place called Favorites in Woodbridge New Jersey. Favorites is an off-track wagering facility. The place is really nice. There is an upscale restaurant there, a nice bar, tellers where you can make your bets, and hundreds of booths. At each booth there is a desk type area where you can do your handicapping, have food and drinks served, or just rest your arms. There is also a television at each booth with simulcasting of several different race tracks, as well as regular television programming.

It was a good time. It was good seeing my friend who I haven’t seen in a while.  We talked a lot about the old days.  The food there was good but  overpriced.  I did not make a bet there, but that’s ok. I’m not a big gambler. I really just wanted to see what the place was like, see my friend, and I watched the Yankee game there.

One negative about Favorites is that you could tell some of the people there were real degenerate gamblers. It’s unfortunate but true.
