All BookWise affiliates received a very encouraging letter today. The letter was from Richard Paul Evans, one of the BookWise founders. In the letter, Richard gave six examples of how the new compensation plan affected six affiliates:
Affiliate A - $2,796 grew to $5,426 (194% increase) Affiliate B - $477 grew to $1,726 (361% increase) Affiliate C - $599 grew to $1,667 (278% increase) Affiliate D - $164 grew to $1,218 (742% increase) Affiliate E - $1,054 grew to $2,699 (256% increase) Affiliate F - $105 grew to $873 (831% increase).
Richard also mentioned in the letter that BookWise brought on a new partner, Prosper International. In the past five years Prosper International has sold more than $250 million in mentoring packages. They will now be introducing BookWise to their thousands of clients and building BookWise into their system.
Finally, Richard informed us that BookWise is running at a monthly profit. This is very encouraging as BookWise is offering better benefits now and paying significantly more out in commissions. This also means that BookWise will be around for many years to come.

I was on a BookWise TaxWin conference call a couple of nights ago. On the call, Ron Mueller discussed the three requirements to claim a tax deduction for a home based business. They are: the intent to make a profit, working the business on a regular and consistent basis, and running the business like a business. He informed us that having a home based business should increase our tax refund by about $5,000. He spoke about the various tax deductions that can be claimed such as a home office, employing one’s children, traveling, and business use of vehicle. The call was very informative, and another great benefit of BookWise.
Each week BookWise sends out an email about what is going on in the company. This week’s topics are:
The top enroller bonuses. The top enroller for July receives $2,000 cash, the 2nd top enroller receives $1,000, 3rd top enroller receives $500, and the 4th thru 8th top enrollers receive the Wealth Builder Library.
The July Monthly Book. This month BookWise affiliates receive their first book in the Legacy Library Collection. It is also the first book in the Wealth Collection, “Think and Grow Rich” and “Acres of Diamonds”. The book is bound in rich green leather, and stamped in 24 kt. gold.

I was on a BookWise conference call last night. The call was given by Richard Paul Evans, one of the founders of BookWise. He was very excited about the upcoming changes in BookWise, that will take effect on June 2, 2008.
He spoke about how the commission structure will be much better, how BookWise will be a Success Mentoring Affiliate Program, instead of a network marketing program that sells books. He spoke about how a BookWise affiliate thought she would have to pay $5000 in taxes for the 2007 tax year. But instead, after listening to a BookWise Tax Win call, she found out that she could get a tax refund for approximately $12,000. He also spoke about another BookWise associate who saved $20,000 on his taxes as a result of listening to a Tax Win call.
And taxes are just a small part of the mentoring that goes on in BookWise. And the mentoring is done by the best in the business, people like Richard Paul Evans, Robert G. Allen, Mark Victor Hansen, and Tom Painter.

This is an excerpt from an email sent to BookWise associates from Richard Paul Evans. The email is concerning the changes to BookWise that go into effect on June 1, 2008.
Here are the top ten things I’m most excited about.
1. People making real “pay the mortgage–quit the day job” money.
2. A more exciting company with a clear vision, message and strategy.
3. A simplified, easy to understand program.
4. The Legacy Library: A unique, quality product not available anywhere else.
5. A compensation plan that matches our Associates’ behavior.
6. Success mentoring is a proven model.
7. Quick payout. No more waiting months to make money.
8. Five and your membership is free. With the new program, you only need to sign up 5 Affiliates (at your same level) instead of 27 to cover your monthly membership fee.
9. Exciting new tools to build your business, including a new Winning in the Margins presentation.
10. One of the greatest starter kits, the new Affiliate Portfolio in the industry.
Let’s talk about benefit number two-a more exciting company with a clear vision, message and strategy. When our consultants interviewed BookWise Associates and asked WHAT IS BOOKWISE? They got 20 different answers from 20 different people. We’ll tell you what it’s not. It’s not the return of the corner bookstore. It is not a book club. It is still “The most intelligent home-based business in the world”, but that’s not how we’re marketing it.
What is BookWise?
BookWise is life transformation. It is the finest Success Mentoring program in the world.
BookWise is about transforming lives through multiple methods of learning. To borrow Bob’s phrase, Bookwise is ‘Multiple streams of SUCCESS!’– Wealth, Personal Success and Wisdom.
BookWise is not a company selling leather books. The book is a bonus. The mentoring is worth far, far more. And the fantastic news is Success sells! In the Direct Sales industry, Success Mentoring is a proven model and is already part of a growing multi-billion dollar industry. BookWise has the chance to be at the cutting edge of this industry not only because we have access to the greatest information (from both the past and present) through books, CDs, DVDs, Seminars, Webinars and TeleConferences, but because we have access to the greatest success mentors in the world, including Robert G. Allen, Richard Paul Evans, Tom Painter and other industry leaders!
Let me answer one last concern. Was this new program and cost increase really about making BookWise corporate more money? No. Of course we hope it will make us money in the long run, (we have not made a dime of profit yet) but in the short run it only makes you more money. Do the math yourself. The new comp plan pays out much more on the dollar: 50% of a 100% CV vs. the previous 40% of a 75% CV. In real language, we’re paying out 50% instead of 30%, or $25 in commissions instead of $12. We increased the price by 25% and then more than doubled the commissions paid out. Obviously, this was changed to make you more money.
The bottom line is this: This new program was created to help you make money fast and bring you greater value. The plan seems to be working. We have finally attracted some big new players who now feel that BookWise can make them money. We believe June will be an exciting launch and rebirth. A BOOKWISE RENAISSANCE!
I want to thank our awesome leaders and Associates for their presidential actions during this change. For those of you “Blue Vasers” who, like me, are in for the whole journey, I look forward to sharing phase 2. There’s a lot of good to come!
Last night the changes were announced for BookWise. The major changes are:
Two levels of membership, one at $49.95 per month, the other at $99.95 per month.
An enrollment called Wise Start, for $399.95, which makes certain audios and videos, from Robert G. Allen and Richard Paul Evans available to associates.
A two-level commission structure.
After enrolling 5 people, the monthly fee is covered by commissions.
New replicating websites.
An effort to change the culture of the program to more of an affiliate program than a network marketing program.
I know this is very brief and general information. I will have more detailed information in the near future.
I was on two BookWise conference calls today. In the first one, hosted by Robert G. Allen, he spoke about some changes coming to BookWise. He did not get into specifics, but he said that the changes were to simplify the Business and to get more money into the associates pockets. On this upcoming Tuesday night, there will be a webcast where the specifics of the changes will be revealed. I am looking forward to that very much.
On the other conference call, we were instructed in social marketing on the internet. The website www.gather.com was discussed on the call. This website is a network of people who are interested in books, money, health, food, and a number of other things. This is a social networking group I must get involved in.
For those who choose to run BookWise as a for-profit business, the tax benefits can be substantial. Financial advisors have long counseled their clients to take advantage of the more than four hundred legitimate tax breaks available to owners of home businesses. As a BookWise Associate you receive access to TaxWinTM Training—a live monthly conference with top tax experts who will share ways you can save big money by owning a home-based business.
