Hey

Monday, July 7th, 2008

Hi everyone. Hope you all had a great fourth of July weekend. I went to my sister’s for  a family party. It was great. I got to see some relatives and friends that I do not see too often.

I saw the two Wimbledon championship matches on Saturday and Sunday. They were both great. I think the match on Sunday won by Rafael Nadal over Roger Federer was the greatest tennis match I’ve ever seen. It lasted almost five hours, and at the end of the match they were playing like they just started. It’s incredible how well conditioned these guys are. They must train like maniacs. The match between the Williams sisters, Venus and Serena, was great too. Both of them played well. I was surprised Venus won, as Serena is considered to be the better player.

The Yankees game last night was very good too.  Brett Gardner, a rookie who is batting .143, drove in Robinson Cano in the 10th inning to win the game.  And speaking of New York teams,  Fernando Tatis  of the Mets hit a  2-run homer in the 12th inning against the Phillies to win the game.

A good weekend for fun and sports.
