November 1, 2008 BraveHeart Women

Looking over the fabric of business today, there are many women who are on the leading edge of thought, of resolution, of action.  I think of Ellie Drake and her unbridled passion for her vision.

Brave Heart is a description that carries with it an image of strength, of vitality, of caring.  In our businesses, in our government, as we exercise the right to vote next week, in our daily connecitons, the Brave Heart within can stand up, be alive within each of us.

I am privileged to be a BraveHeart Women Global Community Founding Member, and look forward to others sharing in that journey.

October 5, 2008 Give and Receive for a Short Window of Time

The eyes are wise.

A friend and colleague, Dan Reinhold, is asking for exposure for a good cause, raising funds for autism research.

For only a short window, there is a way to give and receive at the same time for a great cause..

Check out the Wahumor Giveaway, and see the list of 17 plus products offered for donating $25.00 towards Autism Research.  Every little bit we can do will help Wahumor reach their $2500.00 mark.

Help Spread the Word! and give and receive if you can.

Best for now,

Mary Gallagher

September 3, 2008 Passion for Learning

Home is where the Heart Is

As a home based business owner, the quest for learning new, better, more, things about business and about entrepreneurship never ends for me.  I live by Benjamin Franklin’s saying, “Empty the coins from your purse into your mind and your mind will fill your purse with coins and keep it full.”

The tools that have dropped in my lap to learn from over the years have been sychronistic, no exception, no coincidence!  In the past few months, a great resource for learning has been Lynn Terry’s Self-Starters Weekly Tips.  She has provided a forum for learning and a weekly webinar that provides answers to any and all questions you may have about Internet Marketing.  Learning the ropes the right way is her specialty, as you can read in a recent blog post, Starting a Free Online Business.

Since technology, internet marketing and network marketing are all a great part of my story, I feel I have been led and directed to the great mentors I have come across, like Ellie Drake, Abraham, Joe Vitale, Lynn Terry, and Mark Joyner.  All these tremendous teachers have illuminated various parts of the same coin, Entrepreneurship.

As I continue learning and implementing what they teach, I travel with other Self Starters on that ‘Yellowbrick Road’ that shows me “There no place like home, there’s no place like home” to work from!

Best for now,

Mary

April 18, 2008 ADC’s of Success Online

No, it’s not a typo!  This is another of a few blog posts I am writing on a similar theme, the ADC’s of Success.  The first I posted to my blog at http://www.braveheartwomen.com/createyourdream/

Today’s ADC words that jump up off the page are

  • Approachability
  • Dialogue
  • Collaboration

These terms all apply to the social aspect of business.  It’s so critical in today’s business world to form and nurture relationships.  Technology actually assists us in this process and I will expand on that a little later.

Approachability is the way a person creates a presence that attracts others to them.  It’s a manner that communicates to others, “Come closer, would you like to get to know me better? I would like to get to know you better.”

In the business sense of this, it is important to use etiquette and ease in developing approachability.  It will allow relationships to occur naturally, not in a pushy way.

Dialogue in today’s business world is refreshing.  When we come across others in business being authentic, communicating with us in a way that is personal and professional, it stands out.

Let me get back to technology and how it can assist us.  In today’s online world, it’s becoming increasingly popular and necessary in many circles to keep in touch often and at all hours throughout the world.

With so many social networking sites and applications, it is easy to connect with those in our business circles.  It is also a way to become known to those who you may not already know but are connected to others who do.  Letting others know who you are, personally and professionally, has a side effect of positioning yourself as an expert, a contributor, and a regular guy or gal.

Collaboration with others is crucial to success.  Have you ever heard of anyone who became successful and when accepting their award on the stage said, “I have no one to thank.  I did this solo”?

To work with others on our way to the top of our game, whatever that is for us, is a key element of getting there.  Developing a collaborative spirit even with competitors can only bring good to us.

So, to summarize:

Approachability will bring us closer to those we want to do business with by showing our true selves.

Dialogue will assist us to clarify who we wish to work with to accomplish our goals.

Collaboration will move us in the direction of our dreams, never alone.

January 13, 2008 Welcome to NetWebMarketer

Welcome.  Working from Home is my passion.  As a 21st century homemaker, I have been ‘making a home’ where Harmony, Hope, and Hospitality are values I strive to practice myself and encourage others to embrace.

My greatest teachers are my husband and son, who show me ways to improve in loving and communicating and becoming.

The freedom I have to express myself in this blog is primarily due to the passion I have for Home-based Business Ideas!  Over the years, I have been a researcher, student, owner and partner in successful home businesses.

Wearing many hats gracefully shows who I truly am.  As I act in ways that lead to my success online by pursuing my passions, I am also finding the pathway to peace.
