How much time would it take to read the entire Bible in a single year?
Accomplish it in “bite sized” readings for each day. Take daily readings from both the Old and New Testaments each day that take a total of 10 to 20 minutes.
The year is almost over, but just jump in where we are, and go back to the beginning in January. If you don’t have a Bible handy, go to http://www.biblegateway.com/ . Scroll down to Bible Book List and click. Scroll down, find the Book, then the chapter, click, and start reading.
Here are the daily chapter readings from December 1, 2008, until December 7, 2008.

It can take a while to get into the habit of a daily reading. I usually try and get it all done during the weekdays, because weekends are crazy with three teenagers at home!

Why waste time reading it when there are millions of better books that would do you more good? Honestly, there’s little that ancient goat herders have to say that’s still relevant.

You might have the wrong book. Not a single goat herder wrote any part of the Bible.
The number 1 best seller of all time and you have never read it. I would challenge to read it over the next year.
Then you will be able to speak from a position of personal knowledge.
