Discover An Important Lesson in Self Mastery.

Monday, December 1st, 2008

Personal growth and transformation can occur in many ways - yet there are some key lessons that are fundamental. And as we approach the end of 2008, I am reminded of one key lesson.

December offers us  a great time to reflect and to take stock of how the last 11 months have unfolded.

“Follow effective action with quiet reflection. From the quiet reflection will come even more effective action.”

Did you accomplish what you had set out to do in 2008? I have to admit that though I did in many ways -in other ways I did not. And one of the reasons I did not is because I tried to focus on too many things at once.

I got caught in the trap of wanting things done quickly, and having them done yesterday. And yet, intellectually I do know better. It is not rocket science… (more…)

Does Your Current Schedule Allow You To Be Happy, Fulfilled and Personally Empowered?

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

Is your daily schedule reflective of a life filled with happiness and self empowerment?

Reality is that schedules don’t lie. Whether we like it or not, our schedules are the best barometer of what we value and what we each believe is important.

“As you live your hours so you create your years. As you live your days so you craft your life.” Robin Sharma

So if the results you are currently getting in life are not what you want, then it is important to stop long enough to see where, and how you are allocating your time.

There are lots of people who say they want to be doing something different in their life, and who want to enjoy different experiences; yet these same people are not willing to make changes to their daily routines.

Through my observations and personal experiences, one can only achieve new results if one is willing to examine how one spends one’s time and make adjustments. The adjustments of time may be made to learn new skills, to transition to a new career, to make more time for family and friends, or to simply relax.

If there is a gap between who you are and what you do, you will find yourself out of alignment. The greater the gap between your commitments and what you value, the less happiness you will feel. (more…)

Thoughts Are Powerful Things - Use Your Thoughts To Create What You Want.

Friday, October 17th, 2008

Thoughts are Powerful Things! Use Your Personal Power to create the life you want…

“The only way to get what you really want, is to know what you really want. And the only way to know what you really want, is to know yourself. And the only way to know yourself, is to be yourself. And the only way to be yourself is to listen to your heart.” Mike dooley

Welcome to your week’s end and I hope you are planning some time just for you. Yes, that’s right just for you to contemplate what is important to you and to take a step towards that…

We now know that our thoughts become things - they create our reality. There is more than enough scientific, quantum physics information now to support that claim.

Here is a video with Mike Dooley that will help you to get even clearer on this topic and get you moving and continuing this fall into the direction you want. Give yourself time to really absorb this material and choose one strategy out of it to assist you.

I look forward to hearing what you are wanting to create. If Mike in this movie can do it - so can you, so can I, so can we all.

How Can Mastering Your Emotions Free Up Some Of Your Time?

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

“How do you find the time to do what you do?”:

Have you ever asked someone that question or has it been asked of you?

Recently someone asked me that question and I actually had to think back of how over the last couple of years, I have increased the time available to me.

What I remembered was a great line from my friend and coach , Start to master your emotions and you will master your time.” He has been absolutely right.

When we master our emotions - it doesn’t mean we do not feel the emotions - but (more…)

Are You Part Of An Empowering Team - Part 3

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

TEAM - “It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.” Harry S. Truman

While discussing the concept of team with one of my own team members just a few short days ago - we touched upon the characteristics that make for a good team member. It’s one thing to one to gain value from being part of a team, however it is also very important to bring value to the team as well. So now let’s see what we can Be and Do to add value to a team. Which Life Lesson Are You Observing As You Watch The Olympics Unfold?

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

“Life is the mirror reflecting back to us, who we really are.”

The Olympics have been playing for only 6 short days, and already we find a plethora of newspaper clippings, news casts, and media reports on these games, on China as a country, and on its beautiful people.

A number of life lessons have unfolded for the world to learn from, if we take a moment to reflect beyond the picture that appears on the screen or the words that fill the many pages.

One particular newspaper article caught my eye and one specific television newscast had my ears perked up - they were both touching upon a similar subject but in two different contexts.

The newspaper article was speaking of the walls that had been put up around certain areas for so called advertising purposes, yet the true purpose of these walls was to hide the poverty and the less favorable. On the other hand, the newscast was voicing the concern over the fact that the young girl singing at the opening ceremonies was not in fact the real singer, but had been put on the stage because of a preferable physical appearance.

In both those situations there were negative comments directed at China and its culture for engaging in such behavior. However, what could be the lesson or the awareness to be gained here?

I believe these situations are simply a (more…)

Do You Have A Daily Practice That You Adhere To?

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Will it be the bed that wins or your desired results?

Daily practice are words that could bring up feelings of guilt for not getting something done, boredom, tediousness, rigidity OR they could bring thoughts of success.

Here it is - an early summer morning and I have been up since about 5:15 a.m.- yet getting up this early has not been a constant practice for the last several months. It is not that I do not want to get up - or that the alarm does not go off - simply put - the bed remains extremely inviting - as the cool morning breeze flows gently through the window, and I am wrapped in a soft cotton sheet.

Yet, I know with the constant practice of getting up this early it will free up time (more…)

What Have You Understood About the Law of Attraction Or Do You Even Care About The Law Of Attraction?

Saturday, July 5th, 2008

Lynette meeting Michael Losier in Cancun, Mexico - 2007!

Law of attraction - so much has hit the media and the Internet on this very important topic, since the movie The Secret” and more recently through the film “The Opus” . The movies were wonderful as they were great awareness pieces in order to raise the consciousness level of the masses.

Unfortunately, some people forgot what the purpose of these movies was, and assumed that it was the whole story. Others missed some of the subtleties mentioned (more…)

Focus - How Can You Be Most Productive?

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

Focus is a word we hear frequently, yet folks often do not know how to implement simple, yet powerful strategies that will allow them to focus more deeply, and get more done.

You can get started by taking time every Monday morning, to write out your focus for the week - the 3 priorities you will give attention to - not 10 priorities, but 3, and no more than 3.

This is not a to do list, but rather (more…)

What Is Your Vision?

Saturday, May 10th, 2008

“Man without vision shall perish.”

Which vision is guiding you on a daily basis? Last time, we discussed how you are in fact the captain of your ship. And every captain must have a vision, a destination he/she is moving towards. A big part of life is simply showing up, showing up ready to be, do and have what you can.

If you haven’t already crafted a vision for yourself, (more…)
