Are these economic times and the negative news getting to you?

The best words I came across this past week were: “Rather than react and retreat, it is time to correct and continue.

If we let ourselves go on automatic pilot these days, we will find ourselves caught in the mind set that many things are doomed, that there is little to look forward to  - other than hard times, and that the worst is yet to come.

Can You Bend When The Storm Comes Through?

Recently, after a summer wind/rain storm, I took a drive out to the country with my husband. As we were driving through a small town, I asked Roland to stop. Large trees were down along with many of the power lines. Some trees were completely uprooted, and others had leaves ripped off and broken branches, yet they were still standing.

Why the difference?  Why did certain trees manage to bend and sway and remain upright, while others that appeared to be much stronger and wider in girth were simply uprooted?

What is Currently Influencing You?

Have you ever steered your kids or someone else’s for that matter - away from specific locations, certain TV shows, inappropriate music or magazines?

If so why did you do it?

Perhaps it was to protect these kids emotionally, physically, or spiritually. Yet, do you give yourself the same consideration that you give your loved ones?
